PISA 2012

OECD has just published results of the 2012 international study that similarly to 2003 focused mainly on mathematics with reading and science being tested as well. The Czech Republic shows decline in results since the last study in 2013. However, compared with the PISA results in 2009 when mathematics was tested along the prime focus on reading the results show some improved. In the long run though it clearly shows that 15 year olds cca 10 years ago were better in mathematics. Data show also some interesting information about the stratification of the Czech education system. Despite the vast majority of schools being state schools there are significant differences between the quality of schools across the education system.
