In this text you will find useful information that will help you become familiar with our daily routines in the preschool.

Our academic year will commence on Monday, 2nd September 2013. The Opening hours are from 7:30-16:30. All the children should be brought to school between 7:30 – 830. The main educational program starts at 8:30. Please make sure that you will bring your child on time. If your child is new to our preschool and you wish to allow her/him a settling-in period (e.g. start with half days and gradually extend the school day) please don´t hesitate and talk to me about it during the first school day.

All new parents should also choose a meal program for their child. Please go to, click on intranet and under the Starting Reg. Form click on Preschool Reg. Form and fill in by 29thAugust for us to be able to order and provide school lunches and snacks already on 2nd September. School lunches and snacks must be paid at the beginning of the following month by direct debit

In this packet you will also find the necessary “Supply List” and information regarding clothing of your child/children. One of our aims is to encourage independence and it is therefore important that clothing allows for this. The children will participate in a range of activities, including some that are messy. Whilst they will be encouraged to wear aprons for all art activities, accidents happen and clothing may become marked with paint. *Please, label all clothes with your child’s name.

If your child has her/his favourite soft toy which they would like to bring from home for the nap time it is ok. However, for the safety reasons it is necessary that you discourage your child from bringing other toys from home, especially toys with small parts or very small toys. For the same reason the children should not bring any sweeties or chocolate as part of their snack.

To download the academic calendar 2013/2014 for preschool, please go to – intranet, school calendars. I am enclosing Parents Handbook for Preschool. Other handbooks and policies are available upon request at the office or at our school website.

We hope that you and your child/children are ready and excited to start a new school year.
